Arriva Midlands

Scania Omnilink 3501 at Tamworth and VDL DB250/Wright Pulsar Geminis 4752, 4756 and 4773 at Thurmaston have been withdrawn.

Repainted into the latest journey mark livery are Optare Versas 2941 and 2954 at Thurmaston, and ADL Enviro 400s 4403 and 4404 at Derby.

Centrebus

Acquired here for use at Grantham are former Yellow Buses ADL Enviro 400s SN12AVY and SN13CHZ. Now withdrawn at Grantham are Scania N94UD OmniDekka 903 and Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 932.

Transferred in at Leicester from D&G Bus at Cannock are DAF SB200/Wright Commanders 187 and 190.


D&G Bus

Optare Solos 127, 138 and 139 have been withdrawn at Crewe, whilst Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 199 is a further withdrawal at Cannock.

Optare Versa 781 at Adderley Green has been repainted into fleet red livery, with similar 780 due to follow, which has transferred from Cannock.


Delaine Buses

A further former Arriva London, but originally Travel London, ADL Enviro 400 has joined the fleet. LJ09CCF has been given fleet number 173 and is from the same batch as LJ09CCN/O which joined the fleet in June 2022 and are fleet numbers 171/72.

The latest ADL Enviro 200MMC in the fleet, AD72DBL, has been allocated fleet number 174 and it entered service on 1st September 2022 working on the 201 Bourne-Stamford-Peterborough route. It has replaced Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse 148 in the fleet, which was taken out of service on 31st August 2022 and has been sold.

Back at the Bourne depot by late August 2022 following long-term repairs was Volvo B7RLE/East Lancs Vyking 140 which has been restored to the operational fleet.

Diamond East Midlands

Now withdrawn here at Burton are Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 30901 (former 79) and Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 40639 (former 104).

Transferred in from Diamond West Midlands are former Johnsons ADL Enviro 200s 31417 and 31422, with both undergoing repaint into Brighter Diamond livery before entering service.

Dennis Trident/ALX400 open top 40100 has transferred here from Diamond West Midlands (Tividale), whilst Wright Streetdeck 40726 has come from Diamond West Midlands (Redditch).


Diamond West Midlands

Wright Streetlites 20180 and 20186 have transferred from Kidderminster to Preston, and similar 20181 and 20184 have transferred from Tividale to Preston.

Former Johnsons ADL Enviro 200s 31419, 31420 and 31421 have transferred from Redditch to Kidderminster.

Latest repaints here into Brighter Diamond are ADL Enviro 200s 31418 at Redditch, 31419 and 31421 at Kidderminster, and VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 32133 at Tividale.

Many withdrawals have occurred here recently due to tender losses.

East Yorkshire

Eight Volvo B7TL vehicles have been transferred on loan to Go North East - 696, 702/08/09/10/11/12/13.

Fleet changes from 4th September 2022 saw ADL Enviro 200MMCs 516-18 allocated to Scarborough and 519/20 allocated to Elloughton with similar 514 transferring from Hull to Withernsea. Enviro 200s 388/89 are transfers from Elloughton to Hull. Enviro 400MMC 97 is now in the East Yorkshire Coaches fleet at Hull. Volvo B5TH/MCV 816 is now allocated to Hull. Volvo B9TLs on the move have been 772 from Withernsea to Hull and 773/74 from Withernsea to Pocklington.

Vehicles re-licensed in preparation for the start of the school term were Volvo B7TLs 698, 703/05/06 and Volvo B9TLs 722/23/24/25 at Hull along with Volvo B9TLs 720/21 (at Hull), 714/27 (at Scarborough) and 744/45 (at Withernsea).

Volvo B7TLs 697 and 700 have been sold to Ellie Rose whilst open top Volvo B7TL 896 at Bridlington is due to be delicensed and will go into storage at Scarborough for the winter period. Also due to be delicenced is Volvo B7RLE 346 at Hull.

First Cymru

Swansea’s Enviro 400MMCs 33972 and 33982 were noted on the 27th August at Hants & Dorset Trim in Eastleigh, both freshly painted in the campus to campus livery.


First Hampshire and Dorset

Volvo B9TL 36100 has joined the allocation Hoeford depot. This now wears "Southsea Coaster" livery and small "Solent" titles and is used on Service 50 which runs along the seafront between The Hard Interchange and South Parade Pier.


First Midlands

Latest withdrawals at Adderley Green are Volvo B7TL/ALX400 31782, Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 37158, and Scania OmniCity 65040.

Wright Streetlites 63174, 63176 and 63177 are the final examples to receive the orange based Mainline livery. Similar 63178 and 63179 have received two-time grey ‘Spare Bus’ livery. At Worcester, 69459 is another Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse 2 to receive the new Worcester City livery, in place of the Salt Road livery.

Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse Urban 69154 has been sold for preservation in Manchester, whilst similar 69155 has transferred to the main South Yorkshire operation for use as a driver training vehicle.


First West of England

Bristol Community Transport ‘metrobus’ Enviro 400 City 2913-33 have transferred to this fleet, and carry fleet numbers 39321-941.


Go North East

Eight Volvo B7TL vehicles have been transferred on loan from East Yorkshire - 696, 702/08/09/10/11/12/13. They have been allocated temporary GNE fleet numbers: 9039 (696), 9040 (702), 9041 (708), 9042 (709), 9043 (710), 9044 (711), 9045 (712), and 9046 (713).


National Express West Midlands

ADL Enviro 200 873 from Coventry and Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse 2 2009 from Wolverhampton are the latest buses to receive the new grey fleet livery. ADL Enviro 400 MMCs 6956, 6960, 6961 and 6962 have lost their 11/12X route branding at Coventry for red West Midlands generic branding, in preparation for transfer elsewhere.

Scania Omnilink 1811 is being reinstated from reserve at Perry Barr, replacing similar 1904 which has been withdrawn with engine failure. Similar 1884 at Walsall has lost its 34/39 route branding.

Now withdrawn are Dennis Trident 4446 at Wolverhampton and 4552 at Yardley Wood, and Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 4646 at Acocks Green. Recently sent for scrap are Dennis Tridents 4387, 4394, 4405, 4426, 4430, 4547 and 4568, Volvo B7TL/ALX400s 4276, 4280, 4282, 4288, 4415 and 4424, and Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Geminis 4655 and 4673.

Transferred from Perry Barr to West Bromwich are Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Geminis 4479, 4480 and 4483, whilst similar 4495 has transferred from Perry Barr to Acocks Green. Dennis Trident 4599 has transferred from Walsall to Wolverhampton. ADL Enviro 400s 4854, 4855, 4856, 4857 and 4858 have transferred from Walsall to Perry Barr.

Newly delivered for Coventry are BYD Enviro 400 EVs E048-055 and E066, with the first examples due into service imminently.

Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire

Four ADL Enviro 200s, 36146/149/150/151, have been transferred from Stagecoach West Scotland. 36149/150/151 were moved to Carlisle on 19th August 2022 with 36146 following on 28th August 2022.

Optare Solos 47141/48 have been sold whilst Tridents 18359/362/363; Optare Solo 47011 and Optare Versas 25213/217/222/223/224/226/227 are all now for disposal. Dart SLF 35192 has joined the training fleet and is based at Morecambe.

Enviro 200 36101 has returned to service at Kendal allowing 37106 to return to Carlisle. Transferred to the Reserve Fleet are Tridents 18324/364/375; MAN/Enviro 300s 22874/876/880/883/884, 24120; Optare Solo 47006 and Volvo B10M/PS 20710. Other transfers in mid-August 2022 were Scania/Enviro 400 15723 from Morecambe to Barrow; Enviro 400 19569 from Morecambe to Kendal and Enviro 300 27530 from the Reserve Fleet to Carlisle.


Stagecoach East

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 44011 from Stagecoach West Scotland is another of the type to be transferred here for the West Hunts DRT operation at Fenstanton. At the end of August 2022 the operational ‘ting’ fleet, which requires four vehicles per day, comprised Mercedes-Benz Sprinters 44011/16/19/20 and ‘ting’-liveried Optare Solo SR 48033, with Solo SRs 48032/34/35 all now in the Reserve Fleet. 48036, which was in ‘Local’ livery was swapped with Stagecoach East Scotland for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 44016. It is understood that a further Sprinter is being sourced to replace Solo SR 48033.

Following the return of the Enviro 400MMCs from Commonwealth Games duties, a number of vehicles have been moved to the operational Reserve fleet including Enviro 400s 19567/568/573-579/594/597/698 at Bedford and Enviro 200s 36061, 37213/216/217/218/226/227/228/229 at Cambridge. Enviro 300 27523 at Cambridge; Enviro 200s 36934/936 and 37219 at Peterborough along with Volvo B7RLEs 21221/225-233 at Fenstanton are also now in the Reserve Fleet. We understand that Scania/Enviro 400MMCs 15291-294 will also be moving from Cambridge to Fenstanton (15291 and 15294 already transferred).

A start has been made on repainting the ADL Enviro 400MMCs currently used on Cambridge Park & Ride services. In early September 2022 10791 was repainted in ‘Local’ livery replacing its red Maddingley Road P&R scheme. The Park & Ride fleet is due to be replaced later this year. Next for repaint is 10793, which is branded for the Trumpington P&R service.

Stagecoach East Midlands

During late August 2022 Enviro 200s 37201/204 and Enviro 300s 27192 and 27201 were returned to Grimsby and placed into the Reserve Fleet. The Enviro 200s had been in the main fleet at Hull with the Enviro 300s in the Reserve Fleet at Hull.

Another Mercedes-Benz Sprinter transferred here from Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands) is 44027, which is in the Reserve Fleet at Mansfield.

At Skegness, former Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire Volvo B7RLEs 21260/261/262 have been allocated into the main fleet with 21256/257/258/259 in the Reserve Fleet along with former Road Car examples 21212/213/214/216. 21257 has now received ‘Local’ livery. Also now in the Reserve Fleet at Skegness is Volvo B7TL 16941.

Several other fleet changes were made here in early September 2022. Enviro 300s 27764/765/781 transferred from the main fleet to the reserve fleet at Grimsby, whilst Enviro 300 27201 and Enviro 200s 37197/201 were transferred from reserve fleet to Grimsby main fleet. Trident 18050 returned to the main fleet (from reserve) at Gainsborough, with Enviro 200 36526, Enviro 300s 27189/191/881 and Enviro 400s 19060/070/100/101/111 transferring from Hull to the reserve fleet. Placed into reserve at Lincoln from the main fleet were Enviro 200s 36059/450/451, whilst moving from reserve to the main fleet at Lincoln was Scania/Enviro 400 15651. Enviro 400s 19018 and 19050 transferred from Hull to Lincoln. Moving into the main fleet at Mansfield (from reserve) were Trident 17717 and 18028, Enviro 300 27788, Enviro 200s 36114-120 and Mercedes-Benz Sprinters 44012 and 44027.

Moving into the mai fleet at Skegness (from reserve) were Volvo B7RLEs 21256-259, replacing Enviro 300s 27195/196/199/794/879 which were placed into the reserve fleet. Transferred to Scunthorpe, from Lincoln’s reserve fleet, were Dart SLFs 35148 and 35149. Whilst at Worksop Dart SLFs 35133 and 35137 moved from the main fleet to the reserve fleet here. Volvo B7RLEs delicenced are 21213/14 at Skegness and 21248 at Scunthorpe.

ADL Enviro 400MMC 11193 was collected from Pickering following ‘Local’ repaint on September 15th 2022 and Enviro 200MMC 26263 was delivered there for ‘Local’ repaint. Further repaints are of Trident 18344 and Dart 34848 (carried out by Scunthorpe depot), Enviro 300 27786. Dart 35147 and Enviro 200 MMC 37464 (at Lincoln depot), and Enviro 400 19047 (at Stagecoach Yorkshire’s Chesterfield depot). Enviro 200 MMC 37466 is currently in the paintshop at Lincoln depot, whilst Enviro 400 19147 has now entered service from Lincoln depot after its repaint in July.

Vehicles sold to A H Hardwick (dealer) have been Volvo B7TLs 16902/915, Trident 18431 and Dart SLFs 34851 and 35139.

Following the return to Hull depot of the Enviro 200MMCs which has been in use on the Commonwealth Games contract (26255-267) the seven MAN/Enviro 300s on loan from Stagecoach Yorkshire, 22559/614/618 and 24183-86 were being returned.

Stagecoach East Scotland

MAN/East Lancs trainer 22506 at Rennies has now been replaced by Enviro 300 27525. Stood down into the Reserve Fleet at Rennies are Trident/Plaxton President 18053/056.

Trident/ALX400 examples 18086 and 18114/115 are now in the Rennies fleet from Glenrothes with 18000, 18197 and 18352 at Glenrothes now in the Reserve Fleet. Also now in the Reserve Fleet is Volvo B7TL 16936, whilst Trident 18095 from Rennies is stood down for repairs. A further vehicle for repairs is Enviro 400MMC 11190 at Blairgowrie which has been temporarily replaced by Trident 18019 from Aberhill.

A fleet upgrade at Glenrothes has seen the allocation of Enviro 400s 19178/221/894/896/897/898/899.


Stagecoach London

ADL Enviro 400 training bus 19139 has received the ‘Stagecoach Pride’ regional livery. It was repainted by Stagecoach South East at Ashford.


Stagecoach Manchester

Now for disposal here are Enviro 400 19280 and Optare Solos 47618/623/672 whilst Scolabus 29832 has been returned to Transport for Greater Manchester.

Several vehicles are currently delicenced for major repairs or assessment and include Enviro 400s 19275/349/515 along with Enviro 400 Hybrids 12019/020/225 and Enviro 400MMCs 10848 and 10591.


Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire

The return of the ADL Enviro 400MMCs from Commonwealth Games duties in early August 2022 saw 16 MAN/Enviro 300s, 24129/130/134-139/154-160/165 from Gilmoss transferred to the Reserve Fleet along with the three Optare Versas from Preston, 25218/220/221. At the end of August 2022 there were 58 vehicles in the Reserve Fleet, which included 12 Optare Solos (47495/513/516/517/559/620/622/624/655/656/673/675) with a further two of the type, 47331 and 47514, awaiting disposal.

Optare Solos in the main fleet in mid-August 2022 were 47328/330/335 at Gilmoss and 47336/337 along with Solo SRs 47922/923 at Preston. Enviro 400 MMCs 10574 and 10575 have transferred from Birkenhead to Chester.

Enviro 200MMC 26051 has been repainted into ‘Local’ livery by Bus & Coach World whilst open top Trident 17502 and Enviro 400MMC 11117 now also carry ‘Local’ livery.


Stagecoach Midlands

Following around three years out of use with major collision damage, the repairs to Scania/East Lancs 15402 were completed at Rugby depot in August 2022 and it has returned to Kettering to be prepared for a return to service. The repair was done using parts from similar 15411 which was acquired from Stagecoach Yorkshire following its withdrawal there.

Optare Solo 47203, on loan from Stagecoach South Wales, had moved from Nuneaton and was parked up at Leamington depot in mid-August 2022.

A further recipient of ‘Local’ livery is Enviro 200 36844 which is based at Kettering. Work is progressing on the restoration of Volvo B10M/Alexander PS 20215 at Nuneaton, but it is likely to be a few months before it is fully completed.

Enviro 200's 36154/160/746/748/749 and 37059 have returned back to Nuneaton after being on loan to Leamington. Also at Nuneaton are Enviro 200s 36207, 36208 and 37066 from Rugby. Transferred from Northampton to Leamington are Enviro 200s 37055/058/071. Enviro 200 36950 has returned to Rugby after being on loan to Kettering.

The Optare Solos which had been on loan from Stagecoach South Wales have now largely been returned, these being 47074/191/203/206/209/211/316/349/363/385 and Solo SR 47818.

Now repainted into ‘Local’ livery is Enviro 200 36213, whilst Enviro 200 MMC 26204 has been repainted into ‘Distance’ livery.


Stagecoach North East

MAN/ALX300s 22082 and trainer 22068 at Slatyford are now both for disposal along with MAN/Enviro 200 39666 from Hartlepool. Sales to M&S Parton are MAN/ALX300 22346 and MAN/Enviro 200s 39659/674/696/697/709.

MAN/ALX300s 22409/412 along with MAN/Enviro 300s 24102/104/106/107 are transfers from Walkergate to Slatyford with Enviro 200s 36091/092/093 moving from Slatyford to Hartlepool and Enviro 300s 27726/727/728/729/733/735/738 moving from Walkergate to Sunderland.
Vehicles moved into the Reserve Fleet are MAN/Enviro 200s 39661/664 (Hartlepool) and 39673/723/731 (Sunderland) along with MAN/ALX300s 22343/344 (Slatyford) and 22437 (Walkergate).

Enviro 300s 27157/58 are transfers from Stockton to Walkergate with Enviro 400s 19680/681 moving from Walkergate to Stockton. The transfer of the Enviro 400s is for operating on a new contract.

The first of the ADL Enviro 200MMCs to be restored to standard seating configuration following use at the Commonwealth Games, 26279/280/283, were back in service at Stockton by the first week of September 2022.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird)

ADL Enviro 400MMC 10533, which was involved in a road traffic collision en-route to Birmingham for Commonwealth Games duties in July 2022 has been written off, whilst transferred from Stagecoach West Scotland and allocated to Aberdeen is Enviro 400 19552.

Reserve Fleet Enviro 200s 36331/337 have been allocated to Peterhead, whilst Optare Solo 47257 is a transfer from Stonehaven to Elgin. Enviro 400 19171 is a transfer from Aberdeen to Peterhead whilst moving from Peterhead are Enviro 300 27804 to Aberdeen and Optare Solo 47602 to Stonehaven.

Sold are Optare Solo 47568 to S Parton and Volvo B7Rs 53608/09 to North West Bus Sales.

The latest retro-repaint into the original Stagecoach ‘stripes’ livery is Enviro 400 19377.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands)

A further Mercedes-Benz Sprinter to leave this fleet for Stagecoach East Midlands is 44026, whilst similar 44018 has been scrapped. Also now withdrawn and due to be scrapped are Enviro 300s 27515/535; Enviro 200 36070; Optare Solo 47246 and Volvo B7R 53276.

Reserve Fleet Volvo B13R 54119 and similar Optare Solo SR 47749 have been allocated to Inverness. Also at Inverness is Optare Solo 47565 from Tain where it has been replaced by Optare Solo SR 48059 from Kirkwall. Volvo B11R 54821 has transferred from Skye to Inverness in exchange for 54823.

Volvo B8RLE/MCV Evora 21386 is pictured in Inverness on 7th September 2022, which had been on loan at Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird) for driver familiarisation.


Stagecoach South

MAN/Enviro 300 training bus 22741, from Worthing, was on loan to Stagecoach West in August 2022.

The company has reported that Leyland G7/Short O23/24RO 19945 (CD 7045) from its Heritage Fleet has been sold to A Gloag and is now at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum.

Enviro 300 27561 is another vehicle for training bus conversion, and has been replaced in the main fleet at Winchester by 27834 from the Reserve Fleet. Now in the Reserve Fleet is Enviro 300 27836 at Guildford.


Stagecoach South East

ADL Enviro 200s 37168/170/174/177 were returned to Stagecoach South Wales in late August after a period on loan, when they were based at Eastbourne. Optare Solo 47114 is a transfer from Dover to Ashford whilst 47165 is now for disposal.

A number of Scania/Enviro 400s were transferred in August following the return of vehicles which has been in use on Commonwealth Games duties. Transferred from Herne Bay to Dover were 15493/495/501/538/539/542, with 15436/437/443/475/476/477/478/492/548/549 now at Ashford.


Stagecoach South Wales

ADL Enviro 200s 37168/170/174/177 were returned here in late August after a period on loan with Stagecoach South East.

Visitors to the open day at Cwmbran depot on 28th August 2022 included Platinum Jubilee-liveried Enviro 400MMC 10945 from Stagecoach South and open top Enviro 400 19658 from Stagecoach South West.

It is understood that all remaining Dart SLFs here were taken out of service on September 10th 2022.

Stagecoach West

MAN/Enviro 300 training bus 22741 was on loan from Stagecoach South in August 2022 during which time it was based ‘on paper’ at North Bristol but in reality was in use at several depots. Scania/Enviro 300 29844 is now in service at Gloucester.

Now for disposal are Dart SLFs 34619/806/881/882 and accident damaged Optare Solo 47550. Also for disposal are ADL Enviro 400H Hybrids 12003 and 12007. Vehicles sold are Dart SLFs 34682/683/843 along with Scania K340s 59306/307.

Stagecoach West Scotland

Four ADL Enviro 200s, 36146/149/150/151, have been transferred to Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire whilst ADL Enviro 400 19552 has transferred to Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird). Transferred to Stagecoach East is Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 44011.

Planned fleet movements include Enviro 400MMC 10513 from Reserve to Ardrossan whilst 10515/522 have moved from Cumbernauld to Ayr with 10518/20 to follow. Also for Ayr are Enviro 200MMCs 37490/491/492 from Ardrossan.

For the Reserve Fleet are Trident 18374 at Ayr, Scania/Enviro 400s 15815/816/817/944/945/946 at Ardrossan and Scania/Enviro 300s 28661/662/663 at Dumfries with similar 28701/702/703 due to transfer from Kilmarnock to Dumfries.

Returned to Dumfries and Galloway Council are Optare Versa 25244 and Optare Solo SRs 47913 and 47938.

Reserve Fleet Optare Solo 47612 at Dumfries has transferred to the main fleet at Ayr covering for 47613 which is under repairs with Reserve Fleet Optare Solo SR 47837 at Kilmarnock back in the main fleet as cover for 47842 which is undergoing repairs. Similarly at Ayr Reserve Fleet Volvo B11R 54339 is back in the main fleet covering for 54337. Optare Solo electric 48903 is out of use at Kilmarnock for repairs.


Stagecoach Yorkshire

Further MAN/Enviro 300s have been identified for disposal here and include 22536/537/539/541/545/546/550/551/558/561 with Optare Solos 47323/334 also now for disposal. Chesterfield-allocated MAN/ALX300 training bus 22087 has been withdrawn and MAN/Enviro 300 22560 undergoing conversion as a replacement.

Enviro 200s 36724 (from Chesterfield) and 36997 (from Barnsley) are now allocated to Holbrook whilst 37102 moves from Chesterfield to Rawmarsh and 36186 from Barnsley to Ecclesfield. Optare Solo 47654 has transferred from Ecclesfield to Chesterfield.


The Green Bus

Dennis Trident/Plaxton Presidents 113, 126 and 127 have been sold to E&M Horsburgh.

Volvo B7RLEs BX56XCM and BX56XBY have been sold to Transpora Group, and have been operating with Coastliner Buses of Blackpool.
