East Yorkshire

Open Top Volvo B7TLs 889/890/892-896 have been delicensed. Transfers from Scarborough to Hull are Enviro 200s 380 and 389, and Volvo B9TLs 714 and 727. Volvo B9TL 772 is confirmed as being allocated to Elloughton.

First West of England

Volvo B9TL 37358 has been transferred from Hengrove to Weston-super-Mare.

Go South Coast

Scania Omnidekka 1091 (YN55 NFP) is currently on loan to Oxford Bus Company.

Megabus/Joint Venture Operations

Scania/Levante 59227/28, which have been stored at Stagecoach Yorkshire’s Chesterfield depot, have received a deep blue band under the windows and Megabus branding and have transferred to the Megabus Unit with Stagecoach Midlands at Rugby.

Notice was given to Stagecoach Midlands in early November that Megabus operations based on Rugby depot were to finish. With effect from January 10th 2024 no vehicles will be based at Rugby garage and no overnight servicing will be undertaken there. There will also be no Megabus duties for drivers based at Rugby. Stagecoach North East’s Walkergate will become the main Stagecoach depot with a Megabus allocation with further reductions expected in the allocation at Cwmbran (Stagecoach South Wales) and North Bristol (Stagecoach West).

Sold has been former ‘Megabus Gold’ Van Hool Astromega 50306 from North Bristol (Stagecoach West).

Volvo B11R 54301 has transferred from Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands) at Inverness to Stagecoach East Scotland at Perth. Volvo B9R 53701 has temporarily been allocated to the Citylink fleet with Stagecoach East Scotland at Perth (it had previously been listed for disposal).

Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire

Enviro 300s 27107/537/810/811 along with Enviro 200 36069 were transferred from Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands) on 27th October. Due from the same source in early November were Enviro 200s 36047 and Enviro 300 27916, with 36068 due to follow. 27107/810/811 have been allocated to Carlisle.

Enviro 400MMC 11145 at Morecambe was re-registered to WLT824 during October and has received a commemorative ‘Poppy’ livery. Heritage/Reserve Fleet Optare Solo 47001 was moved to Kendal in October and was put into service there on 1st November.

Withdrawn at Carlisle are Enviro 300 27532 and MAN/Enviro 300 22782 along with 22610 at Morecambe. Transferred from West Cumbria to Carlisle, with operation of the 300 Carlisle to Workington service, are Scania/Enviro 400s 15921/922/923. The Keswick to Seatoller service (78) has transferred from West Cumbria to Kendal for the winter period and is due to be operated by the Volvo/Wright Lakesider open top vehicles. ADL Enviro 400 19569 is a transfer from Kendal to Barrow along with transfer of the operation of service 6C.

Stagecoach East

Enviro 200 36935 from the Reserve Fleet at Bedford transferred to Peterborough on 25th October allowing Enviro 400 19598 to move from Peterborough to Cambridge. Enviro 200 36937 moved from Bedford to Peterborough on 29th October with 19596 then being transferred from Peterborough to Cambridge. Moved from Bedford to Fenstanton on 27th October was ‘Distance’-liveried Enviro 400MMC 10803.

Scania/Enviro 400 15198 did not transfer to Stagecoach Midlands in October as expected and following a repaint into ‘Local’ livery has returned to service at Cambridge. 15200 was towed from Cambridge to Bedford on 7th November for repaint into ‘Local’ livery.

Dart SLF 34827, which had been parked up following its use as a Covid Vaccine Bus, has now been adapted for use as a Marketing & Wellbeing vehicle (and has received a rather colour livery as a result).

Stagecoach East Midlands

Ten Enviro 400H Hybrids are being transferred here from Stagecoach Manchester and are expected to be converted to open top over the winter months as replacements for the Skegness Seasider fleet. The vehicles earmarked for transfer are 12029/034/036/037/038/041/045/046/047/048.

Several of the planned fleet changes for October had still to take place as late as 10th November. Due for withdrawal, Volvo B7RLE 21211 has seen continued use at Scunthorpe following its move there from Skegness, whilst 21215 remains in use at Skegness. Now at Gainsborough is Enviro 300 27762, which had been operating from Lincoln. Trident/Plaxton Presidents 18024/052/054 remain operational at Worksop but are now expected to be withdrawn whilst ALX400-bodied Trident 18121 remains operational at Mansfield. Enviro 400 19018 has transferred from Gainsborough to Grimsby.

Scania/Enviro 400 15614 was at Express in Pickering in early November for repaint into InterConnect livery. Enviro 400 19054 at Lincoln is currently out of service with extensive body damage. Following the loan of Enviro 400s 19304/305 from Hull to Skegness it would appear that the re-allocation of 19686/687 from Lincoln to Skegness has been either cancelled or delayed.

Stagecoach East Scotland

Acquired for this fleet are two Volvo B12B/Plaxton Panthers (C83F) for the Rennies fleet, 53118/119 (SW09URH/USD). They came from Moffat & Williamson in August, but were originally with Parks of Hamilton where they were registered LSK513/831. Sold to Moffat & Williamson have been Enviro 300 27539/590/598/599/600 and Optare Solos 47217/231/259.

New ADL Enviro 400MMC 11659 was delivered at the end of October - the first of four 11659-662 for service at Blairgowrie.

Withdrawn from service at Arbroath during October were Optare Solos 47259/260/489. Withdrawn by early November was Trident 18110 from the Rennies fleet which transferred to Stagecoach South West. Also transferred to Stagecoach South West are MAN/Enviro 300 22572 and Volvo B9R 53707. Scania/Enviro 300s 28604/605/647/649 have transferred from Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands).

Transferred to the Rennies fleet are Enviro 400s 19174 and 19374 along with Optare Solo 47489. Scania/Enviro 400 15946 has transferred from Perth to Dunfermline with Enviro 400 19373 being allocated to Perth. Enviro 400 19899 is a transfer from Aberhill to Glenrothes; Scania/Enviro 400 15659 is allocated to Aberhill whilst Enviro 300 27545 transfers from Glenrothes to Arbroath. Volvo B9R 53701, which had been for disposal, has been temporarily allocated to the Citylink fleet with Stagecoach East Scotland at Perth.

Stagecoach London

Scania Omnicity 15005 has been sold whilst 15045 is now withdrawn and awaiting disposal. Optare Solos 47991/993/994 are awaiting return to the leasing company. Enviro 200 36298 is on loan to the training school at West Ham.

Stagecoach Manchester

Further deliveries of new Enviro 400 MMCs at Ashton have been 11738/739/740/742. The deliveries so far have seen Enviro 400s 19232/235/236/237/238 move to Hyde Road and 19254/272/273/274/276/277/278/279/281/282 move to Sharston.

Enviro 400H Hybrids moving to Reserve are 12016/023/055/056 from Hyde Road and 12028/030/032/039/040/042/043/050/051/052 from Sharston. Enviro 400H Hybrid 12028 was damaged by fire at the end of October 2023.

Being transferred to Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire are Enviro 200s 36791/796/797/798/799/800, whilst Enviro 400H Hybrids 12029/034/036/037/038/041/045/046/047/048 are being transferred to Stagecoach East Midlands.

Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire

The final two Enviro 400MMCs transferred to Stagecoach Midlands were 10542/543. Transferred from Stagecoach Manchester are Enviro 200s 36791/796/797/798/799/800.

Stagecoach Midlands

A further two Enviro 400MMCs transferred from Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire are 10542/543.

Scania/Enviro 400 15198 did not transfer here in October and remains with Stagecoach East.

Stagecoach North East

Withdrawn for disposal is MAN/Enviro 200 39658 from Hartlepool. Sold to T Wigley (dealer) are MAN/ALX300s 22345 and 22443 along with MAN/Enviro 200 39701.

Transferred from Walkergate to South Shields is Enviro 400MMC 10632. Enviro 400 19643 has been allocated to Walkergate following repairs.
A change of plan has seen Enviro 200 36050 formally allocated to Sunderland rather than to Hartlepool.

Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird)

Aberdeen-based Enviro 400 19215 was written off and scrapped after catching fire at the end of October. It has been replaced at Aberdeen with 19217. Transferred from Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands) is Enviro 300 27917, which has been allocated to Elgin. Enviro 400MMC 11175 has transferred from Elgin to Aberdeen. Volvo B9R 53628 has been sold.

Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands)

Departing the fleet on 27th October for Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire were Enviro 300s 27107/537/810/811 and Enviro 200 36069. They were followed by Enviro 200s 36047 and Enviro 300 27916 on 12th November with Enviro 200 36068 due to follow.

Scania/Enviro 300s 28604/605/647/649 have transferred to Stagecoach East Scotland with Enviro 300 27917 moving to Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird). Being prepared for cascade during November were Scania/Enviro 300s 28602/643/645/650. Volvo B11R 54310 has transferred to Stagecoach East Scotland.

Volvo B9R 53633 has been scrapped and it is believed 53705 and Volvo B13Rs 54119/120/122/123/130 have been sold.

Stagecoach South

Enviro 200 36132 has transferred from Stagecoach West and has been allocated to Winchester. It has been exchanged for Scania/Enviro 400 19588. Tridents 18311 and 18511 are back in the main fleet at Andover covering for accident damaged Trident 18118 and Enviro 400 19063. Now withdrawn is Trident 1818, whilst transferred to Andover is Enviro 300 27834.

Reported as transferred from Stagecoach Yorkshire and in store here is Optare Solo 47727. The company is reporting Enviro 200 36019 as withdrawn and for disposal.

Vehicles no longer listed here and presumed sold are Enviro 400 19098; Dart SLF 34418; Enviro 200s 360170/21 and Optare Solos 47036/539/554/586.

Stagecoach South East

Now at Eastbourne from Hastings are Scania/Enviro 400s 15550/5w51. Enviro 200 36898 was also transferred from Hastings to Eastbourne in October, but had returned on loan to Hastings by 12th November, whilst Scania/Enviro 400 15183 is temporarily allocated to Eastbourne and 15180/184/186 are at Hastings.

Reserve Fleet vehicles transferred are Tridents 18175 (to Herne Bay) and 18176 (to Eastbourne). Reserve Fleet Dart SLF 34411 has transferred from Thanet to the main fleet at Hastings.

Stagecoach South Wales

We have seen reports suggesting that Enviro 300 27696 has been taken out of service and is being converted to a driver training vehicle.

Stagecoach South West

Optare Solo SR 48034, transferred here from Stagecoach East last year, finally entered service at Exeter on 31st October 2023 but only managed a few hours before being returned to the depot.

Arrivals from Stagecoach East Scotland have been Trident 18110 for conversion to a training bus and MAN/Enviro 300 22572. Volvo B9R 53707 has also transferred from Stagecoach East Scotland and is due to be allocated to Plymouth where it will release Volvo B9R 53611 back to the training fleet.

Optare Solo 47088 is transferred from Plymouth to Exeter with Optare Solo SRs 48014/015 being reallocated from Exeter to Plymouth.

Stagecoach West

Oxford Tube Volvo B11R/Plaxton Panorama 50452 has received a special ‘Poppy’ livery, whilst 50449 from the Citylink Joint Venture fleet at Stagecoach East Scotland has been transferred to Oxford and arrived on 1st November 2023.

Transferred from Stagecoach South is Scania/Enviro 400 15988, which has been exchanged for Enviro 200 36132. 15988 has been allocated to Oxford.

The new ADL Enviro 400MMCs for Witney started to arrive in early November. Enviro 400MMC 10441 has transferred from Oxford to Cheltenham with Scania/Enviro 400 15879 moving from Cheltenham to Stroud.

Now for disposal are Dart SLFs 34837/838 and Van Hool Astromega 50271, whilst Dart SLF 34816 is sold.

Stagecoach West Scotland

Correction to our previous report - the Scania/Enviro 300 being converted to a Training Bus at Cumbernauld is 28664 (not 28644).

Enviro 200 36148 has transferred from Dumfries to Stranraer with MAN/ Enviro 300 24190 moving from Stranraer to Dumfries. Volvo B13R 54102 has returned to Dumfries with 54108 now stood down for repairs.

Stagecoach Yorkshire

A number of displaced Enviro 400H Hybrids from Holbrook have been transferred to Chesterfield where the are expected to be used on the 54 service to Clay Cross. Moved towards the end of October were 12170/172/177/178. Also at Chesterfield at the end of October for storage pending transfer to Barnsley were Enviro 200MMCs 37604/605/608/609, which have also been displaced from Holbrook. Operating from Rawmarsh at the end of October were Enviro 200s 36993 (from Chesterfield Reserve), 36722 (from Holbrook); Enviro 200MMC 37607 (from Holbrook) and MAN/Enviro 300 22640 (from Barnsley). Enviro 300 27236 is has transferred from Barnsley to Chesterfield.

Withdrawn by early November was MAN/Enviro 300 22645 at Chesterfield. Scania/Levantes 59227/228 have transferred to the Megabus Unit with Stagecoach Midlands at Rugby.
