East Yorkshire

A change in plan has resulted in the three Trident/Olympus 6968, 6969 and 6971 being numbered 997, 998 and 999 rather than the expected 930, 931 and 932.


Megabus

Volvo 9700 50501 (SJ73 HVZ) was delivered to Cumbernauld in February and has been used for driver type training.


Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire

Tridents 18324/356/381 are being retained here in a Strategic Reserve capacity to assist with engineering requirements. In late February 18381 was repainted into ‘Local’ livery, next in line for a ‘Local’ repaint is 18324 (which carried Lancaster City Transport livery). Also being prepared in early March to receive ‘Local’ livery is Dart SLF 34715.

Withdrawn Enviro 300 27532 was collected from Carlisle depot by T Wigley on 11th March 2024.


Stagecoach East

ADL Enviro 400 19613 has been completely gutted after catching fire on the M11 near Cambridge on 28th February while travelling empty to Saffron Waldon to take up service.

Stagecoach East Midlands

Trident 18121 is the latest reported vehicle to have been sold and collected by A H Hardwick. Other vehicles sold to A H Hardwick are Enviro 400MMC 10743, Volvo B7TL 16916, and Tridents 17717 and 18027/035/038/047/122.

Open top Enviro 400 19169 now carries a purple based livery for its use on the Lincoln City Tour this year, it was previously part of the Skegness Seasider fleet carrying the name ‘Rocky’. Former Stagecoach Manchester Enviro 400H Hybrid 12030 was being used at Skegness in late February for driver type training. Enviro 400 19688 is out of service for long term repairs at Lincoln, whilst Volvo B7RLE 21221 had finally transferred from Skegness to Lincoln by 1st March.

Hull-based ‘Pride’-liveried Enviro 400MMC 10734 was at Long Sutton depot (an outstation of Skegness) on 28th February, it remained working from Long Sutton until 4th March and was then joined by 10735 which has also been transferred from Hull to Skegness. It is understood that further examples are due to transfer from Hull to Skegness for operation out of Long Sutton whilst reliability work is undertaken on the Scania/Enviro 400s normally used on Long Sutton services.

The company posted ‘teaser’ images of the new look for the Skegness Seasider fleet on its website in early March. The first former Stagecoach Manchester Enviro 400H Hybrids to be converted to open top are due to enter service from 23rd March.

Transferred on loan to Stagecoach Manchester are Enviro 400 MMCs 11684 and 11768, and Enviro 200 MMC 26275.

Stagecoach East Scotland

Now here from Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands) is Scania/Enviro 300 28650.


Stagecoach London

Open Top Enviro 400s 19131-134 have been sold to City Sightseeing Belfast.

Vehicles for scrap are Scania OmniCity 15042/045/047/110 whilst for disposal are Scania OmniCity 15091 and Enviro 200s 36363 and 36348.

Training vehicles transferred to West Ham are Enviro 400s 19137-140 from Rainham and Enviro 200s 36568/569 and Wright Streetlites 39121/122 from Lea Interchange.


Stagecoach Manchester

Now being delivered, for allocation to ‘BEE Network’ at Oldham are Transport for Greater Manchester- owned BYD/Enviro 400City 84201-250. The first vehicles to arrive in mid-February were 84201/202/203/207. The first examples of the 80 ADL Enviro 400MMCs (11825) ordered for BEE Network operation from Queens Road under franchising Tranche 2 arrived at the beginning of March. Construction of the batch, is taking place at ADL sites at Falkirk and Scarborough.

Several of the former Stagecoach North East Enviro 400H Hybrids, repainted in BEE Network yellow were being used from Sharston and Hyde Road depots in early March. Roof damaged Enviro 400 19336 was transferred to Stagecoach Yorkshire’s Chesterfield depot on 5th March. MAN/ALX300 training bus 22071 has returned to Stagecoach North East after an extended period on loan here. Enviro 400 19250 now carries Bee Network livery.

A number of vehicles have been transferred here on loan to assist with the mobilisation of Bee Network Tranche 2. Reported so far are Enviro 400 MMCs 10921 (from Stagecoach West Scotland), 11648/649 (from Stagecoach Yorkshire), 11684/768 (from Stagecoach East Midlands), and 11772 (from Stagecoach North East), Enviro 200 MMCs 26060 (from Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire), 26275 (from Stagecoach East Midlands), and 26291/292 (from Stagecoach North East), and 37500 (from Stagecoach West Scotland). It is understood they will also receive some of the new Optare Solo SRs on loan.

Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire

Now here from Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird) is MAN/Enviro 300 22791.

Enviro 200MMCs 37328/329 are now at Preston having been exchanged with Gilmoss for Enviro 200s 36797/799, whilst also at Preston from Gilmoss are Scania/Enviro 400s 15472/473/474. Trident 18537 is at Rock Ferry having been exchanged with Gilmoss for Scania/Enviro 400 15563. Also now returned to service at Gilmoss after repairs are Enviro 400MMC 10820 and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 44011.

Now on loan to Stagecoach Manchester is Enviro 200 MMCs 26060.


Stagecoach Midlands

Enviro 400MMC 10732, which has roof damage has been sent to ADL Anston for repairs. Enviro 400 19091 was returned to service at Kettering at the end of February following long term repairs. Trident/ALX400 18407 was given a new MOT on 1st March ahead of a return to service at Northampton as a result of an increased PVR. Also returned to the operational fleet at Northampton by early March were Trident/ALX400 18410 and Enviro 400 19129 with 19012 at Northampton being prepared for service.

Transferred to Northampton over the weekend of 9th/10th March were Enviro 200s 36154 (from Nuneaton) and 36162/163 (from the Strategic Reserve Fleet at Rugby).


Stagecoach North East

Dart SLFs 35222/224, recently transferred here from Stagecoach Midlands, have been repainted into ‘Local’ livery. 35224 has also moved to South Shields. At the beginning of March 34833 was being prepared for repaint.

MAN/ALX300s 22412/437/444 and MAN/Enviro 200s 39665/670/727 have been sold for scrap to Alpha Recovery with MAN/ALX300 22411 being donated to a local school in the North East. MAN/Enviro 200 39658 is back in the main fleet at Hartlepool having replaced 39663 which is nor for disposal.

Back at South Shields, after an extended period on loan to Stagecoach Manchester, is MAN/ ALX300 training bus 22071. On loan with Stagecoach Manchester are Enviro 400 MMC 11772 and Enviro 200 MMCs 26291 and 26292.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird)

Following an extended period out of service for repairs Volvo B11 54248 returned to service at Peterhead in February.

MAN/Enviro 300 22791 has now transferred to Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands)

Out of service for repairs at the end of February was electric Optare Solo SR 48906, which is owned by Orkney Council and operated by Stagecoach.

Optare Solo SR 48059 has transferred from Inverness to Aviemore whilst Scania/Enviro 300 28650 has left this fleet and has been transferred to Stagecoach East Scotland.


Stagecoach South

Following repairs Enviro 200 36022 has returned to the main fleet at Portsmouth. The company reports plans to re-register Hampshire Bus liveried Enviro 400MMC 10700 to YEL4T.


Stagecoach South East

Non-standard Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 59617 has now left the fleet and has transferred to Stagecoach South Wales. It appears to have been exchanged for Scania/Enviro 300 28734 which has been allocated to Eastbourne.

Now withdrawn and for disposal are Optare Solos 47065 (from Eastbourne) and 47378 from Dover) along with Dart SLF 34625 (from Herne Bay). Sold to Ensign (dealer) have been Tridents 18074/160/165; Enviro 400 19662; Optare Solos 47166/680 and Dart SLFs 34411/441/444/493/544/547/646/653.


Stagecoach South Wales

Transferred to Stagecoach South East is Scania/Enviro 300 28734 which was exchanged for Mercedes- Benz Sprinter 59617.


Stagecoach South West

Volvo B9R 53707 is now part of the allocation at Plymouth.

It would appear that most of the recent transfers from Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird), Enviro 200s 36034/035/049 and Enviro 300s 27533/534/602/799 will not be used here and have been earmarked for disposal.


Stagecoach West

Outstanding from the 2023 order, Enviro 400MMC 11761, for Witney, was finally delivered from ADL at Scarborough in late-February. As a result Enviro 400MMC 11242 has transferred from Witney to North Bristol which in turn released Enviro 400MMC 10984 for transfer to Swindon.

Enviro 200 36095 has transferred from North Bristol to Cheltenham with Optare Solo 47735 at Cheltenham moving to the Reserve Fleet.

Sold are Enviro 400H Hybrid 12005 and Dart SLF 34837.

Enviro 400ev 80002 was delivered to Oxford on 6th March, the first of 55 due here (80001-50). It was followed a few days later by 80003 and 80004.

Stagecoach West Scotland

Enviro 400 MMC 10921 and Enviro 200 MMC 37500 have transferred to Stagecoach Manchester, on loan.


Stagecoach Yorkshire

Roof damaged Enviro 400 19336 from Stagecoach Manchester was moved here on 5th March and taken to Chesterfield depot. The company has confirmed there are plans to convert it to part open top. A further Enviro 400H Hybrid to transfer to Chesterfield is 12171 (from Holbrook) whilst Enviro 200MMCs 37606/612/613 are officially recorded as being in the Reserve Fleet at Chesterfield. Chesterfield now has 9 E400H Hybrids on its books, 12170/172-179.

The first of the 23 new Yutong electric vehicles was delivered to Rawmarsh depot in early March, enabling driver and engineer familiarisation to commence.

Now on loan to Stagecoach Manchester are Enviro 400 MMCs 11648 and 11649.
