Arriva Midlands

Repainted at Thurmaston into ‘journey mark’ livery are Optare Versa 2950 and Enviro 200 MMC 3102, as well as VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 3747 and Enviro 400s 4402 and 4406 at Derby. At Derby this marks the phasing out of Max and Sapphire liveried buses.

Optare Solo 2493 has transferred from Thurmaston to Milton Keynes, where Enviro 200 MMC 3127 has also returned to. Scania K230UB/Wright Solars 3513, 3514 and 3515 have all transferred from Derby to Luton, and have entered service there on busway duties. VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2s 3744 and 3746 have transferred from Derby to Thurmaston, whilst Volvo B9TL/Wright Gemini 4203 has moved in the opposite direction. VDL DB250/Wright Pulsar Geminis 4748 and 4749 have transferred from Thurmaston to High Wycombe, whilst similar 4747 has been withdrawn.

Scania N230UB OmniCity 3556 from Derby has been exchanged with Harlow based Enviro 200 MMC 4086. This is to assess the suitability of reallocating Scanias for use on route 724, and Enviros on Derby local services.

Arriva Shires & Essex

Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse-Urbans 3939-44 are at Luton having transferred from Arriva Southern Counties (Hemel Hempstead) where they were numbered 3769-74. They're being utilised on the newly extended 321 which now operates to Rickmansworth and Maple Cross.

Scania K230UB/Wright Solar 3513 has transferred from Arriva Midlands (Derby), with similar 3514 and 3515 expected to follow shortly.


Arriva Southern Counties

ADL E400MMCs 6487-89 have transferred from Hemel Hempstead to Ware. Similar 6493, and 6516/21/22/28 are now at Maidstone. Hemel have received in exchange Wright Streetlites 4320/21/27/31/37 from Gillingham.


Centrebus

VDL/MCV Evolution 669 and Scania K230UB/Wright Solar 748 are currently on loan at D&G Bus.


D&G Bus

Enviro 200s 23 and 24 have transferred from Cannock to Adderley Green, whilst 109 has gone in the opposite direction.

Now in use at Cannock are VDL SB180/MCV Evolution 669 from Centrebus at Grantham, Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 690 from High Peak Buses, and Scania K230UB/Wright Solar 748 from Centrebus at Luton.

Acquired here is former TfL demonstrator ADL Enviro 200 MMC YX17NKZ, now numbered 539 and in use at Cannock. It is mainly seeing use on newly retendered route 3.

Optare Solo 176 and VDL SB120/Plaxton Centro 603 last used at Cannock have been reported to have been withdrawn and scrapped.

Diamond

Mercedes Mellor Strata minibuses 21206 and 21208 have transferred from Tividale to Preston.

Wright Streetdecks 40725 and 40726 have arrived in the West Midlands from Bolton, for use on former Johnsons Excelbus services. Having initially seen use from Tividale, they have now transferred to Redditch.

These are all based at Tividale depot, with a few having entered service in their previous livery with Diamond logos.

Diamond have also taken over the Excelbus division of Johnsons Coaches. These services will be mostly operated out of Redditch depot from May 30th, with the 64, 149 and 150 services taken on early from May 9th to aid Johnson’s’ driver shortage.

Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse-Geminis 37334, 37339 and 37344 have transferred to Weymouth, from First West of England. Streetlites 47421/427/428/429/430 have been transferred to First West of England.


First Midlands

The ADL Enviro 400s that were due here from Weston-super-Mare have now been diverted to First South West, due to them being too high for a low bridge at Stoke Station. These are 33547, 33550, 33554, 33556, 33560, 33564, 33565, 33566, 33569 and 33571 (which are now understood to be helping replace the Dennis Darts at Taunton and Yeovil).

Wright Streetlite 47518 has received a special Queen’s Jubilee livery at Worcester, whilst 63113 and 63172 are further examples to received the orange based livery for routes 3/4 at Adderley Green. Scania N94UB OmniCity 65031 has been repainted out of Leek Link livery into an orange and purple based livery to advertise the tap on, tap off fare system. Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse 2s 69453 and 69459 have received generic Worcester City vinyls on their Salt Road livery, pending repaint. These and a few others have been rendered surplus after the 144 was decreased in frequency and the Birmingham section withdrawn.


First West of England

Transferred to this fleet is Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse-Gemini 32595 (from First Glasgow) at Bridgwater, and Streetlies 47421/427/428/429/430 (from First Hampshire & Dorset) to Lawrence Hill. Leaving this fleet is Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse-Geminis 37334/339/344 to First Hampshire & Dorset.


Go South Coast

‘Morebus’ Dennis Trident 366 is being reinstated for the Summer service increases in May, along with other reserve vehicles.

Enviro 400s 1253, 1258, 1259, and Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse-Geminis 1260, 1261, and 1262 have transferred to Damory.


Johnson’s Excelbus

Some of the buses in this fleet are not passing with the sale to Diamond Bus. ADL Enviro 400 MMCs SK71CLJ and SK71CLN are to be retained for Rail Replacement work, whilst ADL Enviro 200 MMC YX71OJA will remain for a contract. Other Enviro 200s in the fleet are assumed to be going off lease.


Kev’s of Bromsgrove

Now here from Marchants of Cheltenham are Optare Solo SRs KX14FJO and YJ14BHP. ADL Enviro 200 YX17NYW is also here, last with Claribels Coaches.


Megabus/Scottish Citylink

Van Hool Astromega 50248 has returned to the operational fleet at Cumbernauld (Stagecoach West Scotland) after repairs whilst 50266 has transferred to Cumbernauld from the Reserve Fleet with Stagecoach East Scotland. As a result Volvo B11Rs 54339 and 50404 have returned to the main fleet at Stagecoach West Scotland.


Midland Classic

DAF DB250/Wright Pulsar Gemini 46 has returned to service here, following an extended period off the road.

Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 85 has received a Stevenson’s Bus Services heritage livery, and reregistered TFA13.


National Express West Midlands

ADL Enviro 200 809 has transferred from West Bromwich to Walsall, where 853 and 854 have also transferred from Wolverhampton. Similar 875 has been repainted into Coventry Transport heritage livery, destined to eventually replace Dennis Trident 4453 in this role.

Scania K230UB Omnilinks 1810, 1812 and 1815 have transferred from Perry Barr to Acocks Green, with 1815 and similar 1818 now in for repaint. Further Omnilink transfers are 1899 from Perry Barr to Walsall, 1909 and 1953 from Yardley Wood to Perry Barr.

Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse 2s 2143, 2144 and 2145 are transferring from Coventry to Walsall, and are currently receiving repaints out of their blue livery.

Dennis Trident 4449 has transferred from Birmingham Central to Wolverhampton. Similar 4599 has returned to Walsall from Birmingham Central, and 4578 has returned to Walsall from Yardley Wood. Yardley Wood has also gained Dennis Tridents 4600, 4610, 4611 and 4612 from Birmingham Central. ADL Enviro 400 MMC 6148 has transferred from Perry Barr to Acocks Green.

ADL Enviro 400 5408 is now at East Yorkshire’s Scarborough depot for conversion to straight diesel from hybrid.

The latest withdrawals here are of Dennis Tridents 4394 and 4547 at Yardley Wood, 4406 at Coventry, 4430 and 4564 at Wolverhampton and 4463 at Walsall. Volvo B7TL/ALX400s 4282 and 4283 at Acocks Green, 4415 and 4424 at Coventry, along with Volvo B7TL/Wright Geminis 4528 and 4653 at Acocks Green have also been withdrawn.

Volvo B7TL/ALX400 4239 has been withdrawn at West Bromwich, and has been donated to the West Midlands Fire Service, who are using it for training in line with the upcoming commonwealth games.

Previously withdrawn Dennis Tridents 4340, 4444 and 4549, as well as Volvo B7TL/ALX400 4419, have all been sent for scrap.

Previously withdrawn Dennis Trident 4327 has been sold to dealer Used Bus and Coach Sales.

South West Coaches

Optare Solo MX04 VLY (142) & MAN MCV Evolution AJ58 WAE (070) have been withdrawn

Enviro 200 PX12 COU (210) has moved to Beeline Coaches.

Optare Versa YJ08 PGZ (062) has been painted into the white fleet colour.


Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire

The Easter school holiday period provided the opportunity for the repaint of Volvo B10M/Alexander PS saloon 20710 into original ‘stripes’ livery. Repaints into Platinum Jubilee livery are Enviro 400 10014 and Enviro 400MMC 11202 (the latter was repainted by Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire’s Rock Ferry depot).

Enviro 200 36101 has transferred from Kendal to the Strategic Reserve Fleet with 37106 transferring from Carlisle to Kendal. Strategic Reserve Fleet Optare Versa 25227 has returned to the main fleet at Carlisle.

Now sold are Dart SLFs 34565 and 34708 along with Optare Solo 47058.


Stagecoach East

Enviro 400 19585 now carries ‘Stagecoach Pride’ livery, whilst Enviro 400MMC 10867 was pressed into service on April 25th in plain white livery pending the application of Platinum Jubilee branding, which was still awaiting application by 7th May 2022. Following repaint and application of Platinum Jubilee branding, Enviro 400 19597 returned to service at Bedford on 24th April 2022.

Latest repaints into ‘Local’ livery here have been Enviro 200MMCs 37432/433 and Enviro 400 19888.

Stagecoach East Midlands

Trident 18432, Enviro 400 19301 and Enviro 200s 36706 and 37004 have been returned to the main operational fleet at Lincoln, with Trident 18043, Enviro 300s 27635 and 27786, and Enviro 200MMC 37458 moving into the Reserve Fleet.

Reported repaints into ‘Local’ livery have been Enviro 200MMC 26261, and Enviro 300s 27635 and 27763. Enviro 300 27792 has received vinyls for the new version of "1914 -Today Remembering our heroes" livery with Poppies along the bodyside and the front is painted red in the same style as the standard 'Local' livery. Next in line for repaint are Enviro 400s 19123 and Enviro 300 27637 (at Lincoln).

Now for disposal here are Tridents 18029 and 18428; Dart SLF 35132 and MAN/Enviro 200 39678.

Returned to service in early May was Volvo B7TL/East Lancs Vyking 16907 at Scunthorpe - which had been out of service since October 2021. Also returning to service is Dart 34426 at Lincoln, which had yet to return to service following repainting into ‘Local’ livery in January.


Stagecoach East Scotland

The transfer of Enviro 400s 19177/178/180/182/185/190/191/192/221/223/225 from Stagecoach Manchester has been reported.

Transferred from Stagecoach West Scotland are Enviro 200s 36741 and 36744 whilst now collected by Stagecoach West Scotland and being prepared for service are Volvo B9Rs 53731, 53734, and 53735.


Stagecoach London

Following open top conversion, Scania OmniCitys 15025/028/035/048 have joined the City Sightseeing operation with 15115/117 being stood down at Plumsted and now for open top conversion.

Enviro 200 36665 has been returned to the leasing company whilst Enviro 400MMC 11056 and Enviro 400 EV 14148 are both out of service for collision damage repairs.

Scania OmniCity 15002 is now allocated to Rainham whilst Enviro 400MMCs transferred are 11033 Rainham to West Ham; 11034 West Ham to Catford and 11038 Plumstead to West Ham.


Stagecoach Manchester

Platinum Jubilee-liveried Enviro 400MMCs here are 10467 and 10626.

The transfer of Enviro 400s 19177/178/180/182/185/190/191/192/221/223/225 to Stagecoach East Scotland has been reported.

Enviro 400H Hybrids 12104-118/121-134 are all officially transferred to the Reserve Fleet. Also now transferred to the Reserve Fleet are MAN/ Enviro 300 22583; Enviro 300s 27826/827; Enviro 200s 36073/426/428-430, 37146-49 and Optare Solo 47472.

Recent transfers are Enviro 400s 19227/231/241/264/247/250 and Enviro 200 36484 to Middleton; Optare Solo SRs 48023/025 to Ashton and Enviro 400s 19230/263/266 to Stockport.

Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire

Now in Platinum Jubilee livery here are Scania/Enviro 400 MMC 15304 and Enviro 400MMC 10565.

Transferred from Preston to Birkenhead are Enviro 200s 37127-129, which has allowed short Enviro 200s 36314/318/319 to transfer from Birkenhead to Chester with Optare Solos 47559 and 47655 moving from Chester to the Reserve Fleet. Reserve Fleet Enviro 300s 27113-15 are back in the main fleet at Preston with Enviro 200s 36185 and 36805 moving from Preston to the Reserve Fleet.

Another MAN/Enviro 300 now in the training fleet here is 24128. We understand that MAN/ALX300 training bus 22079 is now in use at Birkenhead with similar 22077/078 in the Reserve Fleet.

Enviro 400MMC 11202 was repainted into the Platinum Jubilee livery at Rock Ferry for Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire.


Stagecoach Midlands

Now in ‘Local’ livery is Enviro 200 36846 at Kettering.

ADL Enviro 200MMC 26224 is undergoing seating modifications in preparation for use on the Commonwealth Games contract.

The company has confirmed that the Outstations at Corby and Stratford-upon-Avon are operational, having been mothballed during the Covid Pandemic. No specific vehicles are allocated at Corby with buses coming from the Kettering allocation. At Stratford no specific buses are allocated with service buses coming from the Leamington allocation. The City Sightseeing open top fleet is based at Stratford with engineering support from Leamington.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird)

Volvo B9Rs 53632 and 53635 have been taken out of service at Aberdeen. 53635 is for disposal whilst 53632 has been sold to Moffat & Williamson. 53608 has transferred from Elgin to Peterhead and 53641 from Stonehaven is now a Paint Float vehicle at Peterhead.

Delivered and in the Reserve Fleet is BYD/E400City EV 14056 whilst similar 14039-041/045 are now allocated to Aberdeen.


Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands)

The remaining Optare Solo in the main fleet at Inverness, 47246 is now in the Strategic Reserve Fleet with Optare Solo SRs 47812 and 47814 remaining in the main fleet at Inverness.

Reserve Fleet vehicles back in the main fleet at Inverness are Enviro 200s 36953 and 37256 along with Volvo B13Rs 54118 and 54119.


Stagecoach North East

Recent changes here have seen MAN/ALX300s 22082/341-345/347/348/424 move from the Reserve Fleet to the main fleet at Slatyford. 22437 is now in the Reserve Fleet at Walkergate.

Arrivals at Walkergate are Enviro 400MMC 10646 and MAN/Enviro 300s 24101-107 (from Slatyford) whilst Enviro 400 19679 returns to service after repairs. Enviro 400s 19384-387 move from Walkergate to Slatyford where Enviro 200s 36091-093 are now in the Reserve Fleet. Reserve Fleet MAN/Enviro 200 39723 is back in the main fleet at Sunderland as is Enviro 200 36976 following repairs. However Scania (Gas)/Enviro 300 28013 and Enviro 200 36979 at Sunderland are both out of service for repairs.

Dart SLF 35111 is now in service at South Shields as a replacement for MAN/Enviro 200 39705, which is now for disposal. Also now for disposal here following component recovery are Dart SLF 35263 and MAN/Enviro 200s 39695/696/697.


Stagecoach South

Former Stagecoach West Scotland Enviro 200 36730 entered service here in late April 2022 based at Guildford.


Stagecoach South East

Scania/Enviro 40MMCs 15270 and 15286 have received a different version of the Platinum Jubilee livery with an increased purple area.

Scania/Enviro 400 15777 has returned to service at Herne Bay following long-term repairs displacing Enviro 400 19048 for transfer to Folkestone. Enviro 300 transferred to Eastbourne is 27920, from Dover. New Enviro 200MMC 26359 has been allocated to Thanet as cover whilst 26246 is away at ADL for seating modifications. Dart SLF 34547 is at Ashford, from Dover whilst Optare Solos 47666 and 47685 transferred from Ashford to Dover although 47685 quickly returned to the allocation at Ashford and was replaced at Dover by 47115.

Back here and allocated to Thanet, following an extended period on loan to Stagecoach South West is Dart SLF training bus 34651.

Enviro 300s 27919/921/923/924 from Dover are now in the Reserve Fleet at Eastbourne pending repaint. Trident 18166 along with Optare Solos 47114 and 47369 from Ashford are out of service for repairs.


Stagecoach South Wales

Painted into the Platinum Jubilee livery scheme is Enviro 300 27689.

Former Stagecoach North Scotland (Highlands) Wright StreetLite 43013 has received ‘Local’ livery and is awaiting allocation to Merthyr.

Scania/Enviro 400s 15613, 15754, 15838 and 15965 were all at Porth depot at the beginning of April 2022.

We have been advised that Dart SLF 34754 has not been withdrawn and remains in service at Caerphilly.


Stagecoach South West

Dart SLF training bus 34651 has been returned to Stagecoach South East after a Period on loan here.

Reserve Fleet Dart SLFs 34729 and 34849 from Barnstaple are now parked up at Plymouth whilst Enviro 200 37131 has transferred from the Reserve Fleet at Exeter to the Reserve Fleet at Barnstaple. Optare Solo SRs 48016 and 48017 are now part of the main fleet at Plymouth ousting Optare Solos 47091 and 47099 to the Reserve Fleet at Exeter.

Dart SLF 34776, which had been in the Reserve Fleet at Plymouth, is now under conversion to a training vehicle. The planned conversion of Trident 18302 to a training vehicle has been scrapped and it is planned to donate the vehicle to the NHS.

Now for disposal are Dart SLFs 35154 and 35167, whilst Enviro 400s 19065, 19093, and 19095 are all now for long-term repairs here.


Stagecoach West

With our usual thanks to Dave Russell & Deric Pemberton, we can report that Dart SLF 34619 at Gloucester is now in the Reserve Fleet whilst 34843 from Swindon is now for disposal.

Recent repaints into ‘Local’ livery are Scania/Enviro 400 15975, Scania/Enviro 300 28743 and Enviro 200 36735.

Scania/Enviro 300 28745 has now transferred from Banbury to Gloucester with Enviro 300 27703 being sent to Banbury in exchange. This leaves 28744 still at Banbury and due to transfer to Gloucester.

Now in the reserve fleet here are Enviro 300s 27553 and 27554 (which have been earmarked for driver trainer conversion), and Optare Solo 47550.

Sold on here are Darts 34785 and 34788. Now for disposal here are Trident 18445, Enviro 400 19128, MAN/Enviro 300s 22844/845, Darts 34597/618 and 35193, and Optare Solos 47242/549/552/557/558/596.

Stagecoach West Scotland

Transferred to Stagecoach East Scotland are Enviro 200s 36741 and 36744, whilst now collected from Stagecoach East Scotland and being prepared for service are Volvo B9Rs 53731/734/735.

Enviro 200 36142 has been written off whilst sold are Enviro 300s 27513/514; Optare Solo 47462 and Volvo B7R 53324. Now in the Reserve Fleet are Enviro 200 36149 (Ardrossan) and Volvo B7R 53323 (Stranraer).

Reserve Fleet vehicles back in the main fleet are Enviro 400MMC 10521 (Ardrossan); Enviro 300s 27221/228 (Cumbernauld), Volvo B9R 53732 (Stranraer); Enviro 200 36742 and Enviro 300 27716 (Ayr).

Volvo B11Rs back from use in the Joint Venture fleet are Volvo B11Rs 54339 (Reserve Fleet at Ayr) and 50404 now at Kilmarnock.


Stagecoach Yorkshire

Barnsley-based Reserve Fleet Optare Solo 47726 was transferred to Chesterfield at the end of April 2022 and was being used on the Matlock Town service. It joins 47321 at Stonegravels depot with 47323 being stood down from service in February 2022 and 47324 following in mid-April 2022.


The Green Bus

ADL Enviro 400 611 is the first example here to be repainted into allover dark green, and awaits completion with lime vinyls, like the recently acquired Volvo B7RLEs.


Uno

Mercedes-Benz Citaros 304 and 305 have been reinstated, repainted into Cranfield Connect livery and received the new Uno seat moquette.

ADL E400MMCs 287-291 have transferred from Northampton to Hatfield where they are now numbered 258-262. All except 259 are branded for 'AlbanWay' route 601.

Scania N94UD/ELC Omnidekkas 203-205 have been withdrawn from service alongside Scania N230UD/ELC Olympus 208. Similar 207 is expected to become a driver training vehicle.
